Clients of Legal Resolution Center appreciate being quickly informed as to the costs and conditions of hiring a former judge to handle mediation, arbitration or a hearing. Typical fees for the dispute resolution services of LRC are listed below:
- Hourly rate for a former judge (except Judge Wolfe): $290.00
- Hourly rate for Judge Wolfe: $245.00
- Travel Fee Rate: $100.00 per hour, plus public transportation expenses (No fee for travel in the area from Cheyenne and Laramie, Wyoming to Pueblo, Colorado)
- Conference Room Costs: reasonable and customary
- Incidental Costs: costs for reporters, recording equipment rental, and clerical help for hearings for masters and specially appointed judges would be those that are usual and customary.
Deposits and cancellation fees:
- Arbitration: a deposit of $1,400 per day per party will be required for any arbitration hearing. The deposit must be received at least thirty days before the scheduled hearing in order to secure the requested days for the hearing.
- If an arbitration hearing is canceled within fourteen days of the scheduled hearing, a cancellation fee of $750.00 per day will be charged.
- Domestic Settlement Conferences: a deposit of $1,000 per day will be needed at least ten days before the scheduled conference.
- If a domestic settlement conference is canceled within seven days of the scheduled hearing, a cancellation fee of $500 will be charged.
- Other Settlement Conferences: a deposit may be requested on other settlement conferences. A fee of $500 will be charged if any conference is canceled within seven days of its scheduled date.
Payment procedures:
Legal Resolution Center expects payment for all services to be made by counsel for the parties, unless prior arrangements are made in writing.
