Arvada, Colorado Patricia Madsen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in theater and law from the University Without Walls Program at Loretto Heights College in Denver, Colorado, and her doctorate of jurisprudence from the University of Denver. In 1989 Judge Madsen was appointed to the Denver County Court where she served two terms, and still sits pro tem. She also served as a magistrate in the Denver District Court’s Domestic Relations Division. Her practice now focuses on water transactions and water rights litigation. She has experience with proceedings before the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board, and is skilled in family law as well as state and federal civil litigation. Judge Madsen has served as a National Institute for Trial Advocacy instructor and written for The Colorado Lawyer and the University of Denver Water Law Review. Areas of Special Expertise:
